Minecraft Furniture!

Minecraft: How to Make Furniture in Minecraft - screenshot taken by author (http://)
It’s important to mention that for making Minecraft furniture you will need a lot of signs. In fact, every design discussed here will need them, so have a lot of lumber handy.
To start bringing a room together you’ll need some Minecraft chairs. There are two ways to make them, and which one you use is up to visual preference.
The first is to take a single block of stairs, either wood or stone, put it on the ground and place signs on either side of it. This will make the step look like a seat, and the signs look like arms.
The second way is to place a single stone slab on the ground and then put signs on three sides of it, making the stone slab the seat and the signs the arms and back. To make Minecraft couches, follow the same design except place multiple stairs or stone slabs next to each other, and then place the signs accordingly.

To make a couch, just follow the same design as the chair, but put multiple base blocks next to each other. Also, to add a more personal touch, you can write on the signs and make patterns with text, numbers, and symbols (you can use this technique for most furniture designs). You'll find that wool blocks work best.

Tables can simply be a single Minecraft block on the ground, but there are ways to spruce them up. First, you can cover all the sides of the block with signs to add some complexity. And second, you can put a stone pressure panel on top of the block to make a table top. By using different materials for the base, you can make a pretty fancy coffee table – lapis blocks, for example, are a great choice.
You can also put a fence post down, with either a pressure plate or a half-slab on top.

Chairs and tables are all well and good, but it’s a bed that makes a house a home. To make one, first lay some wool blocks on the ground (two by four will make a twin size). Then put signs on the all the sides except for the two blocks that will constitute the top of the bed.
Putting two stone slabs there make good pillows (in appearance, not comfort), and there you have it – a bed! Again, for a bigger bed just follow the same design but place more cotton blocks on the ground. Also, you can dye the wool if you want to add some color.
But you can't actually sleep in the above mentioned bed, good thing an actual bed recipe has been introduced. To make one, go to your crafting bench and fill the bottom row of your grid with wooden planks, and then the second row with wool blocks.
When placed, this bed will take up a one wide by two long space (placing two next to each other will make a king size bed), and when right clicking it at night, you will skip straight to day. The above design still has its ascetic benefits (its a bit more three dimensional), but its nice that the actual recipe has some use.
With these Minecraft designs you can start filling out your virtual home. But Keep in mind, these are just common designs and you don’t need to follow them. If you think you can come up with a better furniture design, go for it, but in the meantime, you can’t go wrong with these. :)
