Minecraft YouTuber #2: CaptainSparklez

Jordan Maron, better known as his YouTube username and gamertag, CaptainSparklez, is an American YouTube personality. Maron is best known for his song parodies made using Minecraft textures. He also regularly posts gameplay commentary videos that mainly focus on Minecraft. However, other games are also played during the video such as Team Fortress 2, and Call of Duty, among others. In November 2012, Maron's YouTube channel surpassed 2 million subscribers, after which he received the YouTube 1 million subscriber Golden Play Button. He now has over 3 million subscribers. Maron collaborated with Andrea Rene of Machinima in a video published by What's Trending. In December 2012, Maron appeared in the inaugural episode of The Fine Brothers' YouTubers React. and has continued to be part of YouTubers React, though he was not in Episodes 5 or 6. In his time on YouTubers react, he has spoken about "Gangnam Style", Fred Figglehorn, Rewind YouTube Style 2012, among others.

Jordan has (as of December 2012) parodied four popular songs. In music videos Jordan is always accompanied by fellow YouTuber, "TryHardNinja", who provides the lead vocals in all of the parody videos. All of the parodies published by Maron have gone viral to different degrees. As of April 8, 2013, TNT has earned 60 million views, Revenge has earned 96 million views, surpassing the original song, DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love, Fallen Kingdom has earned 53 million views, and Minecraft Style has earned 43 million views (but has since been taken down). Minecraft Style particularly also achieved media coverage by NBC, MSN, and The Daily Telegraph, among several other online news publications. "Minecraft Style" is the most viewed Gangnam Style parody.

Minecraft YouTuber #1 - BajanCanadian

Mitch, publicly known as BajanCanadian, is a Canadian based Minecraft Youtuber who primarily posts Survival Games videos and Parkours. He has been praised for his skills at the Games, and his ability to Parkour and give commentary at the same time. He also has a secondary channel, AwesomeSauceFilms, which he co-owns with fellow YouTuber and friend Jerome, (Hacksource or JeromeASF). He occasionally plays with [minecraftfinest].

 

Mitch primarily posts videos of Let's Plays and Survival Games, where he commentates on his gameplay while playing the game. He also has posted videos concerning Roller Coaster Tycoon. He has his own Hunger Games server, called The Fridge, which shares the name of his YouTube channel.
Also, I might add, he has an amazing sense of humour, so don't watch his videos under the covers when you're supposed to be asleep; you'll be found out quickly when your parents hear you laughing. :)

Hidden Valley Survival Map

More islands! More survival! (And a little adventure on the side for people who like that sort of thing, which is everyone.) Hidden Valley is a minecraft survival islands map complete with survival and islands. And breathtaking vistas. And a story that will keep you up at night, hunting clues, searching for treasure and avoiding hostile mobs. Unlike adventure maps, you’ll have to build your own shelter, find your own food and chop your own trees down to make boats and that sort of thing. The starting chest is fairly generous, especially if you have a taste for brown leather garments. It even comes with a complimentary iron pickaxe. (It told me I had pretty eyes.)

The islands are large and the forests are dense, so much so it is easy to lose one’s bearings. It is best to take to the water, sailing around the map will help you find your way. There is so much to explore, great volcanic mountains rising from innocent pasture – fiery regions where stone and nether-rack burn all day and all night long. The map really is quite beautiful at times, so much so that I’m not ashamed to say that I climbed the tallest peak and then leaped off, only to climb it and leap off again. With custom made foliage and a world class level of world painting, there’s always something to marvel at – like the island of giant Redwoods below.

Constantly updated with new challenges, extended storylines and even new islands to explore, this is a minecraft map with real replayability. And a giant waterfall. I’m mostly excited about the giant waterfall, but your mileage may vary. Populated with plenty of chickens and cows and sugar cane, this is the perfect map in which to make a cake – or mushroom soup, if you prefer the protein fix associated with minecraft’s finest fungi.

Moonlight Island Map

A minecraft survival island adventure map with some of the most raw quest text I’ve seen in a long time (boundaries are broken), this is one island adventure you’ll remember for at least five minutes. In the into quest, someone’s mother (perhaps your mother) demands homework and empty bottles in return for pocket money. And so the adventure begins.

With your pocket money firmly in hand, you’re ready to go off and purchase a few equipment upgrades for the purposes of monster fighting. You can do this at the Army Vendor (the map is full of custom shops). A friendly inkeeper sells cooked meats and potions. And the local town witch / apothecary sells even more handy potions, for people who like to resist fire and boost their speed and strength. If you have your own ingredients, you can even brew your own potions.
There are plenty of minecraft based challenges, over and above fetch quests, like one which requires you to grow and harvest a full stack of sugar in return for many diamonds, which can be used to further fund your adventures. I very much enjoyed this map’s economy, which was well balanced and topped up with secret chests.
Dungeons add to the adventure experience, some of them are obvious, some of them are more hidden. A tip for this map: get yourself an iron pickaxe at the outset. You’ll use it for extracting precious emeralds, the backbone of your adventure experience. This is one map in which you have to have sufficient funds to continue on – much like real life, you need to be cashed up in order to have truly excellent adventures.
This isn’t a huge minecraft adventure map, but it packs a great deal of questing into a relatively small space. I found the small, almost domestic type quests to be quite pleasing, far more so than some more epically themed maps.

Ender Island: Minecraft Sky Survival Island

This is a minecraft survival island map created by an Ender Dragon, set loose to create destruction, the path of the dragon’s flight was cast in obsidian and then overlaid with ores, stone, dirt and trees to create a beautiful survival map. The result is a rather beautiful, albeit large and oddly shaped survival island in the sky. This map can be played as a traditional survival island map, or the player can choose to go ahead and spawn another Ender Dragon and watch it tear apart their entire world.
I prefer the former, in fact, I think the former should be mandatory. Unlike Sky Block, in which one starts on a single block and expands outwards, an Ender Dragon survival map starts with a decent sized island and grows progressively smaller as a result of the Ender dragon destroying it forever when he moves. How dull it is for him to pause, to return to the end. A tragedy for him to rust unburnished, no, he should shine in use! Choose to live on a tempered isle if you will, but those brave of heart and strong and will feel a draw to greater isles. Perhaps you will see the great Herobrine, who once we knew.
So set off, dear Minecrafter, for your purpose must hold. Smite the sounding furrows and begin your voyage. Barren crags hold no meaning to you, for you are full of purpose. You will not grasp at the scraps of grass clinging to rock, you will find greater lands, you will know the meaning of destruction and in learning its dark paths, you will discover the fountain of all creation.

• Make 10 loaves of bread.
• Obtain diamonds.
• Catch a fish.
• Build a secret base using redstone for the entrance.
• Obtain 10 wool.
• Create a pretty blue wool carpet for your house.
• Build an automatic cactus farm.

• Build a structure that hangs underneath the lowest point of the island.
